Student Art Show on April 9th

Original prints by Ocracoke School students will be available for purchase.

All are welcome to the art show and sale on Wednesday, April 9th, at Deepwater Theater. Art teacher Kitty Mitchell will be there to welcome parents, community members, visitors and other art connoisseurs from 4 'til 8pm.

The students have been working on linoleum block prints and collagraphs, which will sell for $15 – $20. All prints will be matted and sleeved.

There will also be a silent auction for some of Kitty's original artwork.

All proceeds will benefit Ocracoke School's Arts Week (coming up the week before Easter) and supplies for the art classes.

Kitty's going to post more each day for a sneak preview, and we'll share them with you, so be sure to check back for more. She says, "If you see one you really want, come early!"
