Local Author to Do Book Signing

Local author Pat Garber will be signing copies of her newly released Ocracoke Odyssey: A Naturalist's Reflections on Her Home By the Sea at Books to Be Red on Friday, from 2 – 4 pm. She'll also have copies of two of her other books, Ocracoke Wild and Heart Like a River on hand as well. 

Pat published her book Ocracoke Wild: A Naturalist's Year on an Outer Banks Island in 1995. After she bough a small, old cottage on Ocracoke, which she named Marsh Haven, Pat started working on a sequel. Ocracoke Odyssey was originally published in 1999, and is now being re-released. Her most recent book is Heart Like a River, which is the story, based on his diary and letters, of her great-grandfather and the years he spent fighting in the Civil War under Stonewall Jackson and Robert E Lee.

Catholic Mass to be Celebrated Again on Ocracoke

This Friday, April 5, Fr Fred Smuda, OSFS will be celebrating his first Mass on Ocracoke at 6:00 pm at the Methodist Hall on School Lane at 6:00 pm. 

Tapestry Studio Open for the Season

The Tapestry Studio is a weaving and thrift store operated by Hyde County Hotline, Inc. It's located in Spencer's Market and will be open Tuesday – Thursday 11 – 5, Friday 11 – 4, and Saturday 10 – 2.

Martin and Friends will play this Sunday, and all those to follow, at Dajio from 7 – 10pm.

Dolphins Baseball
