Carson is O'Neal of the Week!
The team is Ocracoke’s first school baseball team, following on the success of last year’s first Babe Ruth league team, the Raptors. Carson played for the Raptors last year and will play in the Babe Ruth 13 – 15 year-old league after the school baseball season ends. The 13 – 15 team is still unnamed, although the “Rays” is a likely choice.
Carson turned 13 in January, is in 7th grade at Ocracoke School, and also played middle school basketball this year. He’s a Boy Scout and a member of the Methodist Church youth group. He plays guitar and his favorite school subject is history.
His parents are Vince and Sue O’Neal, and he has an older sister, Katie, and a younger brother, Noah. His grandmother, Peggy O'Neal, lives on the island, too. He’s lived on Ocracoke all his life and gets to eat at the Pony Island Restaurant whenever he wants!
