Public Hearing on Ferry Tolls March 19

Press Release

Hyde County update on the "Ferry Tax"

March 15, 2012

Please make plans to attend the only public meeting on the Ferry Tax

N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 19 at 7 p.m. in pats ferry tax signthe Delamar Auditorium at Pamlico Community College, 5049 Highway 306 S Grantsboro, NC 28529.

Come early to get a seat!

Those wishing to speak should arrive by 6 p.m. on Monday to get a seat in the Auditorium at the Pamlico Community College. Officials are expecting a large crowd.

Please attend this Public Hearing if at all possible. This is the only Public Hearing to be held on the issue of the amounts of ferry tolls. There is much to be said about the fallacies of the DOT ferry toll study. If the citizens of Beaufort, Hyde, and Pamlico Counties speak with strong, unified voices on Monday night, we will be heard in Raleigh on Tuesday morning!

Thank you in advance for your concern, hard work, and support of the embattled citizens of coastal North Carolina!

Organizers are still planning a spring trip to Raleigh to formally oppose increased ferry tolls for eastern N.C.'s highway. To learn more, please contact the Hyde County Public Information Office at 926-4373. Thanks again for your support.
