Ocracoke Churches Celebrate Advent...
Ocracoke United Methodist Church (still under repair from Hurricane Dorian damage) and Ocracoke Lifesaving Church have joined together under one banner: The Kingdom Alive. From the Kingdom Alive Facebook page, they broadcast live and recorded services, prayer groups, and devotions.
The Kingdom Alive is offering morning devotions every weekday at 7am on the Facebook page.
For the Advent season, which begins today, they will celebrate with Advent devotions at 6:30pm every evening through December 25th on Zoom and Facebook.
The annual Christmas Caroling will be different for 2020. If you'd like to carol in the village, meet at the 11am Worship Service on Sunday, December 20th on the lawn at Books to Be Red.
A Christmas Eve Community Candlelight Service will take place on December 24th at 6:30pm at on the lawn at Books to Be Red.

A fundraiser for OUMC will be held on Saturday December 5th at 11:30am on the patio of the Rec Hall. All are welcome for a heart & soul warming lunch of authentic Tamales and Atole prepared with love by our Catholic Community Friends.2 tamales & a cup of atole for $10... All proceeds go towards bringing Ocracoke closer to rebuilding the church.
