BOC Meeting Rescheduled

The Hyde County Board of Commissioners regular meeting originally scheduled for November 2, 2020 at 6:00pm has been rescheduled due to the lack of a quorum. The new meeting date will be November 12, 2020 at 6:00pm in the Hyde County Government Center, Multi-Use Room, Swan Quarter and public viewing will be available via the County's Facebook Live account.

The Public Hearing for the Hyde Transit 5310 Grant will also be rescheduled for November 12, 2020 during the board meeting.

Note: This will be Tom Pahl's last full meeting as Ocracoke's commissioner. He chose not to run for a second term. Our new commissioner will be Randal Mathews, who is running unopposed for Tom's seat in Tuesday's election. Randal will be sworn in at the December Board of Commissioners meeting.  

Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, public attendance at Hyde County Board of Commissioners Meetings will be provided electronically. The meeting will be available to watch via Facebook Live or listen to via a phone dial in for those without reliable internet access. Video of the meeting will also be posted to our website, as soon as possible following the meeting.

We are accepting public comments for all meetings and hearings:

Submissions must be received at least one hour prior to the start of the meeting. 

Public Comments are a time for the public to make comments to the County Commissioners. Comments should be kept to three minutes or less and be directed to the entire Board and not to individual members, the staff, or to other members of the public.The live stream will begin when the meeting is called to order. You do not need to be a Facebook member to view the live stream.
