Ocracoke Voter Registration Drive

Ocracoke Library staff and volunteers will be on the porch of the Variety Store Wednesday 3-6, Thursday 10-1, and Friday 3-6. They’ll have voter registration forms, sample ballots, and voter information about absentee ballots and early One-Stop voting.

They’ll have laptops available to help register voters online. If you aren't sure if you're registered, they can help you check your voter status. They will also have non-partisan handouts about the candidates.

There's even a Raffle for new registered voters! Anyone who registers to vote can enter to win a gift certificate to the Variety Store. 

There will also be library card information at the booth because September is National Library Card Sign-Up month. Ocracoke Library offers books, DVDs, wif-fi, computer use, and a scanner/printer/copier.

Tuesday, September 22 is National Voter Registration Day.

On September 22, 2020, Americans will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a massive cross-country effort to register voters well in advance of Election Day this November.

With a historic presidential election approaching, every eligible American voter should exercise his or her right to be heard at the ballot box, and National Voter Registration Day is the right day to start by getting registered. This is why communities across the country are planning to use National Voter Registration Day to increase voter participation.

Ocracoke Library is proud to be a National Voter Registration Day partner, but Ocracoke is celebrating Voter Registration Days beginning September 23rd! The events are sponsored by Ocracoke Friends of the Library.
