OIRRT plans a COVID-safe benefit for Ocracoke's continued recovery on the eve of the 1st Hurricane Dorian anniversary.

Come Enjoy an Evening of Music!

Ocracoke Interfaith Relief & Recovery Team is hosting a benefit concert featuring local artists, and more! The event will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 5–10pm at the Berkley Barn on Ocracoke.

In order to stay safe during COVID, we will be selling "Time Slots" rather than tickets. Click here to secure your timeslot!

All proceeds will go to the relief effort on Ocracoke Island. The in-person portion of the event is weather dependent, and the concert will be live streamed to our Facebook page rain or shine!

Thank you to Ocracoke Alive for assisting OIRRT in securing funding for this event, which was provided through the Don and Catherine Bryan Cultural Series.

One Year Post-Dorian Benefit Concert General Information

In order to celebrate the anniversary of Hurricane Dorian on Ocracoke Island, and fundraise for the relief effort, OIRRT (Ocracoke Interfaith Relief and Recovery Team) is conducting a unique hybrid event to bring the community together while still staying far apart.

Celebrating a Year of Dorian Recovery

The concert will take place at the Berkley Barn Lawn from 5pm-10pm, and will also be live streamed to the OIRRT Facebook page.

Tickets are available to the in-person event. These tickets are being sold as $10 “Time Slots” to ensure that we maintain COVID-19 safety by controlling the amount of guests in the area at any given time. There are 25 tickets available per Time Slot, slots 1-6 lasting 45 minutes, and slot 7 lasting 30. If the event does have to shift due to poor weather, the concert portion will move indoors and be entirely live streamed.

GUEST GUIDELINES:

  • There will be a maximum of 25 guests in attendance at any time
  • Guests will be required to wear masks when entering or exiting the event, walking the event space, visiting vendor booths, or entering the Barn to use the restroom. The only time they may remove their mask is if they are seated in an isolated seating space for their party more than 6 feet from any other guest.
  • Isolated seating spaces will be set up and spaced out prior to the event, and sanitized by volunteers between time-slot changes.
  • There will be one entrance and one exit to the event.
  • There will be one entrance and one exit to the Barn for guests to use the restroom facilities only. No guests will be allowed to use the interior of the Barn for any reason outside of using the restroom facilities. The interior of the Barn will also be treated as a Green Room for the musicians.
  • Restrooms will be sanitized by volunteers regularly.
  • Volunteers will be wearing masks at all times.
  • The in-person portion of the event will be cancelled if there is poor weather. Keep your fingers crossed for sunny days!
