Through funding provided by the Outer Banks Community Foundation, the Ocracoke Interfaith Relief and Recovery Team has secured the services of mental health professional Earle Irwin to keep regular hours on Ocracoke for the next six months to provide mental health support and education to residents in need beginning Monday, Feb. 10.

Irwin will keep the following hours at the Lifesaving Church:

Mondays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fridays 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Appointments are not required, but recommended. Walk-ins are welcome.

On days the Ocracoke Strong Kitchen serves lunch, Irwin will be available at the Community Center from 11 a.m. to noon. In the event that these hours overlap with her scheduled time at the church, her Community Center hours will take precedence.
