Monday, January 13th:

5pm: Reunión para la Comunidad Latina @ Lifesaving Church El Equipo de Socorro y Recuperación Interreligioso de Ocracoke ha programado una reunión especialmente para la comunidad hispana a las 5 p.m. El lunes 13 de enero, en la Iglesia Ocracoke Life Saving para explicar el proceso de recuperación del huracán Dorian. Todos son bienvenidos para asistir. The Ocracoke Interfaith Relief & Recovery Team has scheduled a meeting especially for the Latino community at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, in the Ocracoke Life Saving Church to explain the Hurricane Dorian recovery process in Spanish and in English. All are welcome to attend.  

Tuesday, January 14th:  

9:30am: Toddler Storytime @ Books to Be Red. Little ones and their grown-ups are invited to join Ms Leslie for a story or two! 

11am: Ocracoke Strong Kitchen lunch @ Community Center, for fulltime, year-round residents only. 

4:30pm: Post-Dorian Support Group meeting @ Lightship Realty: Free support group for grief and loss. All residents are welcome. With the holidays there will be more acute feelings of loss for many on the island. Our recovery from Dorian continues to influence how we respond to daily events on the island. Sharing space with others in a safe, supportive environment and talking about the challenges and learning tools for coping can make a difference. Facilitated by Ruth Fordon and Desiree Ricker. 

Wednesday, January 15th: 

6pm: OCBA Civic Affairs meeting @ Community Center. All are welcome. Agenda includes:

  • NC Ferry Division Update  
  • NPS Update
  • Hyde County Update
  • Dump Q & A - Dave Johnson

Thursday, January 16th:  

2pm: Senior Bingo @ Community Center. For 62 & older only. Free to play, and there are prizes!

Friday, January 17th:

11am: Ocracoke Strong Kitchen lunch @ Community Center, for fulltime, year-round residents only.  

Saturday, January 18th:

Chill out! 

Sunday, January 19th: 

Services @ both churches: Ocracoke United Methodist (9am @ Rec Hall) and Ocracoke Assembly of God (Sunday School 10am, services at 11am and 6pm; also Wednesday night service at 7pm).
