Laser Light Madness at the Community Center on Saturday
Laser Light Madness at the Community Center on Saturday

From Memorial Day into the first of June... the season is really happening now!

It's going to be a busy week on Ocracoke and we're all happy you're here. Here's some helpful tips:

  • Walk facing traffic; bike with traffic.
  • Ocracoke School is still in session for two more weeks so drive slowly past the school zones.
  • Actually, drive slowly everywhere. Relax! You're on vacation and we're all going to get where we're going...
  • You have to be 16 to drive a golf cart. Don't let your 15-and-under kids drive golf carts. Seriously.
  • Learn about rip currents, and be careful at the beach. The lifeguard beach is the safest place to swim.
