Monday, October 16th:

1pm: Zillie's changes to Fall Hours: Monday–Thursday, 1–7:30pm; Friday–Sunday, 1-8pm.

5:30pm: Waterways Commission meeting @ Community Center. The public is welcome to attend. 

Tuesday, October 17th:   

4pm: First home soccer game of the season. Ocracoke Dolphins vs. Bear Grass Bears @ Ocracoke Community Park. Go Dolphins!

5pm: Joint meeting of Ocracoke Occupancy Tax Board and new Tourism Development Authority @ Community Center. The public is welcome to attend. Learn more about these boards here. 

6:30pm: Open Jam @ Coyote Music Den, 6:30-9pm – sing, play, listen – all ages, all levels welcome (youth are encouraged to come at 6:30). No charge, but donations welcome.

Wednesday, October 18th:

5pm: Art Opening @ Down Creek Gallery featuring new work by local photographer Melinda Sutton. All are welcome to the last art opening of the season, 5pm-8pm. Enjoy refreshments and live music from Raygun Ruby. 

6:30pm: Youth Choir Practice @ the Methodist Church. Open to all Ocracoke middle and high school students. 

7pm: Word Play @ Coyote Music Den, 7-8:30pm. If you love words … bring something you wrote, read, heard and share, listen or tell a story. No charge, but donations welcome.

Thursday, October 19th:

4pm: Home soccer game: Ocracoke Dolphins vs. Hatteras Hurricanes @ Ocracoke Community Park. Go Dolphins!

5:30pm: Ocracoke United Methodist Church VBS – Fall Edition of Vacation Bible School, 5:30–7:30pm at the Church. All kids are welcome! Fun and fellowship!

Friday, October 20th:

4:30pm: Plein Air Art Show, 4:30-6:30pm. Six professional North Carolina artists are painting around Ocracoke Island this week, and will hold a show & sale at the home of Desiree Ricker (494 Back Rd). All are welcome to stop by and see their work.

4:30pm Homecoming @ Ocracoke School! Concessions start at 4:30pm, MS basketball games start at 5pm, Homecoming Court is at 7pm, and the Father/Son basketball game is at 7:45pm!

5:30pm: Ocracoke United Methodist Church VBS – Fall Edition of Vacation Bible School, 5:30–7:30pm at the Church. All kids are welcome! Fun and fellowship!

7:30pm: Special Halloween Show with Kate McNally & Coyote – Live Music at the Coyote Music Den! $12 at the door/$10 if you wear a costume! More info at www.coyotemusic.net

Saturday, October 21st: 

9am: Ocracoke United Methodist Church Clean Up Day. 9am–Noon, Pizza Lunch included! Many hands make light work! 

6pm: Palm Readings by Zelda the Gypsy! 6–9pm @ Roxy's Antiques. $10 per reading -- all proceeds benefit Ocracats. Wine & cheese reception with fine wines courtesy of Zillie's. Free cat ears to first 20 guests! Gypsy Music! Support Ocracats!

6:30pm: Live Music!  Martin & Lou @ Oyster Co. 6:30-9:30pm

Sunday, October 22nd:  

11am: Ocracoke United Methodist Church Children's Sabbath Service. Children will lead entire church service and would love everyone to join in the worship! The new Youth Choir will sing! 

Additional Services at both churches: Ocracoke United Methodist (Sunday School 10am) and Ocracoke Assembly of God (Sunday School 10am, services at 11am and 7pm). 

Fall Hours

This is also the time of year when businesses go to fall hours. We'll keep you posted!  

Gaffer's Sports Pub: Fall Hours: Mon–Wed 11am til 12am; Thurs–Sun 8am til 2am. Open Thanksgiving; Closed Christmas Eve; Open Christmas Day at 5pm. Open year 'round. 

Ocracoke Seafood Company: New Fall Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 11am - 5pm. Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses.

The Flying Melon is now closed Sundays as well as Mondays. Fall hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 5–9pm.

Fall Hours for Village Thrift: Tuesday–Saturday, 11am–5pm.

Fall Hours for Ocracoke Preservation Society Museum: Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm; Saturday 10am–3pm; closed Sunday.

Jason's Restaurant Open Monday–Saturday, 11am to 2:30pm for lunch and 5pm to 8:30pm for dinner. Closed Sunday.

New Fall hours for Dajio Restaurant: Lunch-Dinner 11am-9pm, and Shrimp Hour 3-5pm seven days a week. Closed for Breakfast. Pizza hours remain the same: Tuesday-Sunday 5-10pm. Closed Monday. Will close for the season after dinner on October 29th. 

Howard’s Pub is open every day from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. serving their full menu.

Zillie's Island Pantry Fall Hours: Monday–Thursday, 1–7:30pm; Friday–Sunday, 1-8pm.
