Here's the updated Eastern North Carolina Threat Assessment released by the NWS Newport/Morehead City at 12:00pm on Tuesday, August 30th.
The forecast changes are as follows:
The center of the storm has shifted slightly west and there has been a slight slowing of progression of the storm northward and that will continue for the next several hours.
Wind speed probabilities increased slightly along the coast, and the wind speed forecast for the Outer Banks has increased to 30 to 40 MPH with gusts up to 50 MPH possible.
