Strike the Harp and Join the Chorus!

The Ocracoke Community Christmas Concert is Saturday, December 12th!

Join your friends and neighbors at the Community Center at 7pm for some holiday cheer!

Performers young and old will be singing, dancing, acting, and storytelling to help us all welcome the Christmas season.

This year's line-up includes: Jamie Carter, Roger Garrish, Katy Mitchell, Mary-Chandler Storrs, Jon Lea, Maren Donlon, Emilia Jordan, Shayna Brooks, Caroline Temple, Mariah Temple, Jessie Taylor, Rob Temple, Sundae Horn, Desiree Ricker, Ivey Belch, Hannah Belch, Jenni Starr, Leslie Gilbert, Richard Bryant, Mary Bryant, Trisha Davis, and the fabulous Ocracoke School of Performing Arts Dance and Acting Students!

The acting students will perform a short play, "The Best Christmas Tree of All," and the dancers will perform "A Practically Perfect Christmas" directed and choreographed by their teacher, Desiree Ricker.

Ocracoke's 4th grade class will be holding a Bake Sale to raise money for their class trip in the spring.

Admission to the concert is a non-perishable food item for the Hyde County Social Services food drive sponsored by Ocracoke Island Realty. Christmas is a time for sharing, and the Christmas Concert gives you ample opportunity to remember those in need.

OIR will sell raffle tickets to win an Ocracoke t-shirt quilt, donated by OIR, retailing at $150. Tickets are $2 or 3/$5 and can be purchased at the show. OIR will use the proceeds to bring Christmas to families of Hyde County. Drawing will be held Saturday, December 12th during intermission. You don't have to be present to win – they'll ship it to you!

Their big fundraiser this year will be a balloon sale. Pre-order an 18” helium-filled foil Christmas balloon and candy cane. For just $5, OIR will deliver the special Christmas surprise on December 18th to the recipient you choose! All orders must be received by Monday, December 14th. Order forms will be available at the Christmas Concert.

Another special fundraiser this year will help those in need all across the world who are forced to become refugees. Take home an adorable Littlest Camel ornament for a donation. Proceeds will go to the United Nations Refugee Agency.

Thanks to the Ocracoke Civic and Business Association for sponsoring the concert again this year!
