UPDATE: There will be an 11am Sunday service at the Ocracoke United Methodist Church. The 7am service is cancelled. Pastor Richard says, "I will lead an 11 am service with Holy Communion for any one who feels like they can make it safely through the water. "Wherever two or three are gathered", as Matthew 18:20 says, "I am in their midst." If you can safely get here and want to be here, I will be here to receive you with open arms and share fellowship on Sunday morning. If we only share a pot of tea, tell some stories, sing a few songs, and break bread, we will have held worship in the best traditions of Methodism."

Ocracoke Assembly of God will have a service at 11am on Sunday.

Ocracoke Station (gas station) is now on a fuel ration. They are conserving fuel for emergency services and first responders that stay on the island, as well as the residents that are staying on the island. They would like to ask all the visitors and residents that are leaving the island to please do not take any more than $10 worth of fuel; it will be desperately needed after the storm passes. They will not be able to get another fuel delivery until road conditions and weather conditions improve and are re-evaluated.
