Friends of Portsmouth Island Meets May 16th

The Friends of Portsmouth Island will hold its spring meeting at Ocracoke on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Ocracoke Community Center. 

The meeting begins at 10:00 with a brunch provided by FPI. Shuttle service will be available for those walking off and back on the Cedar Island ferry. The meeting is open to the public and all are invited to attend.

Special speakers for the meeting will be Glenn and Brenda White, Portsmouth volunteers who will share their stories and experiences while helping take care of the village. Come and hear firsthand what it’s like to volunteer at Portsmouth! Steve Neshkoff, VIP Coordinator for Cape Lookout National Seashore, will also be in attendance.

Portsmouth t-shirts and books will be available for sale, and door prizes will be awarded at the end of the meeting.
