Current Events Week of 4/27/15
Monday, April 27th:
Come out at 4pm for the last middle school Dolphins home baseball game of the season! Where? At the Ocracoke Community Park, of course! Go, Dolphins!
Wednesday, April 29th:
The Library Knitting Club will meet at 6pm at the library. All are welcome – even beginners!
Registration day for the Ocracoke Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament. All are welcome to the Kick-Off Party at Howard's Pub beginning at 7pm. Live music will be provided by the Michael Clark Band.
Thursday, April 30th:
The Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department will hold their every-other-Thursday meeting at the Fire Hall at 7pm. They can always use new members! You can also stop by and get a way-cool OVFD t-shirt or order your reflective house number signs (so OVFD and Ocracoke EMS can find you!)
Friday, May 1st:
Everyone's invited to the OISFT Pig Pickin', 5:30 – 7pm at the Community Center tent.
Starting at 7pm, join the OISFT anglers for another party at the Pub -- this time with the Jonny Waters Band.
Looking ahead to next week:
Monday is the Hyde County Commissioners meeting at 6pm in the Ocracoke School commons. On Tuesday, the ferry division will be on Ocracoke to have a pubic meeting (5-7pm) about the possibility of passenger ferries. The library's spring Book Fair starts next Thursday, and on Friday, May 8th, the public is welcome to the British Cemetery Ceremony and Reception at 11am.
