Here we go a-caroling! On Wednesday, Dec. 17th, you're welcome to join in the fun of Christmas Caroling around the village! Meet at 5pm in the parking lot of the Methodist Church. When all the singing's done, there'll be a hot chili supper waiting for you back in the church Rec Hall.
On Thursday, the kids at Ocracoke School will give their gift back to the community that shows them so much support. All are welcome to the Christmas program at 7pm in the school gym. Directed by Desiree Ricker, the show will feature singing, dancing, acting, and holiday cheer presented by students from Pre-K to high school.
Friday, Dec 19th is a busy day on Ocracoke!
Start with a home basketball game at 4:30pm (Dolphins vs. Creswell Tigers) in the school gym. Fear the Pod!
Friday's also the day of the annual Island Celebration Decorating Contest! Get your holiday lights on by 5:30pm -- that's when the judging starts! Winners get a yard sign and a year's worth of bragging rights. More info here.
At 7:30pm, head over to the Methodist Church to experience the Joyful Band of Singers! Back by popular demand, this amazing choral group will share Christmas music throughout the ages. Sponsored by Ocracoke Alive.
Also on Friday night, Gaffer's Sports Pub is sponsoring "Hot Toddies with Santa" -- a Christmas event for grown-ups that includes an open bar and buffet, ugly sweater contest with prizes, and live music. The $40 admission price benefits Ocracoke Community Park.
