Bait

Two out of three tricksters. The third escaped un-photographed.

Three local young men were caught playing a traditional Ocracoke prank on this warm winter evening. All it takes to provide hours of amusement is a dollar bill, a bit of fishing line, and some gullible passersby.

"We don't need water to go fishing," said one.

Their victims were all amused at themselves, even as their dreams of easy money were snatched away before their eyes. 

Oh, so that's how they did it!
