Tigers Trounced!
on Wednesday, cruising to a 44 - 3 victory.
Every girl on the team has scored during a game this season. The team does an exceptional job of keeping their heads up and looking for one another. There doesn't appear to be a selfish player in the group. Middle School girls supporting one another. Well done, coaches!
Tiger Zakiya Williams put a three in the basket in the third quarter, and fans from both schools cheered.
The boys teams matched up well, and fought a tight game with many lead changes. It was all Spencer Gaskins in the first quarter, who hit a 3 pointer on each of the Dolphins' first four possessions. (Austin Rivers, look out!). And Evin Caswell took over
for the Dolphins in the final 6 minutes, scoring 12 of his 24 points in the last period.
A three pointer from extra long range by Keshoun Blount fell through the net as the final buzzer sounded. Dolphins 45, Tigers 41.
Coach Jason Wells said the difference between this game and an earlier loss to Creswell was rebounding and boxing out.
