Waterfowl Festival Set For April 20-21

The 6th Annual Ocracoke Island Waterfowl Festival will be held April 20-21, 2024 in the Ocracoke School gym.

The Waterfowl Festival is sponsored by the non-profit Ocracoke Island Decoy Carvers Guild. Admission is free. This year's Featured Carver is Vince O'Neal.

Event times are Saturday, 9 am - 5pm and Sunday, 10 am - 3pm. There will be family-friendly fun with booths featuring carvers , collectors, exhibitors, and demonstrations from North Carolina and South Carolina, and beyond.

Saturday events include a Duck Head carving competition from 1-2 pm and a Silent Auction that ends at 3 pm. There will also be a Fish Fry starting at 11 am with proceeds benefitting Ocracoke Seafood Company. There will also be a bake sale filled with renowned local baked items and treats, including Ocracoke Fig Cake!

Due to limited parking at Ocracoke School, a shuttle service will operate from the National Park Service parking lot (located by the NC Ferry Terminal) to the school and back in timely intervals during show hours.
