Friday
7-10 pm: Meet the pirates and “Blackbeard: Fact or Fiction” game show with Kevin Duffus.
Followed by The Motley Tones: rollicking good music and fun. $10 donation. Ocracoke Community Center
Saturday
10am: The Pirates invade the encampment! Silver Lake and the Wahab House. Great viewing from the NPS Docks
10am-5pm: The Pirate Encampment. Wahab House. Living history exhibits, tavern games and seafaring demonstrations.
10am-5pm: Brigand’s Bazaar at the Community Square. Information booth, artisans, food.
All-Day: View the pirate ships: at the Wahab House and NPS docks.
All day: Hunt for “The Dirty Dozen of the Deep Blue Sea.” Purchase cards for this pirate scavenger hunt at the Information Booth.
11:30am-5pm: Live Oak Beer Garden. Community Square.
11:30am-7pm: Teach’s Tavern: beer garden, pirate swag, souvenir mugs. Books to be Red grounds.
11:30 am: The Shadow Players: Stage combat and sword fights. Books to be Red Stage.
Noon: Meet Black Beard—His story; swordplay and fun. Books to be Red Stage.
1pm : “What Was Blackbeard Doing at Ocracoke?” with Kevin Duffus. Books to be Red Stage
1:30pm : Scallywag School for aspiring young pirates. Pirate Encampment. Wahab House
1:45pm : The Motley Tones. Seafaring shanties, pub songs, love songs and sailor song. Books to be Red Stage
2 pm: Create a pirate craft for kids; OPS Museum
3pm: The Battle at Ocracoke. Cannons roar as three ships battle Blackbeard’s fate. Silver Lake and NPS Docks
5pm The Shadow Players: Stage combat, whips and sword fights. Books to be Red Stage
6pm: The Bawdy Beer Garden. Event finale of bawdy songs with the Motley Tones. Books to be Red Stage
Sunday
10am – noon: Springer’s Point Memorial Service for those killed in Blackbeard’s last battle. Start the march at Blackbeard’s Lodge
12-1:30 pm: Lunch with the pirates. Howard’s Pub. Everyone welcome and pay-your-own way.
