Tideland Electric Membership Corporation will conduct a planned outage affecting all of Ocracoke Island before the start of business on Monday, June 17. The outage is scheduled to begin Monday morning at 2:30 a.m. when electric cooperative crews will place a new piece of equipment into service at the Hatteras Island substation that serves as Tideland’s delivery point to Ocracoke. Power should be restored no later than 4:30 a.m.
