Mr. O’Neal was a native of Ocracoke and was a Certified Public Accountant with American Architecture. He was a graduate of Ocracoke High School and attended UNC Greensboro and was a member of Ocracoke United Methodist Church.

He was the son of Carlton B. O’Neal and wife Bonnie of Ocracoke and the late Edith McCook O’Neal.

Also surviving are two brothers, Charles L. O’Neal and wife Anne Stuart O’Neal of Washington, NC and Lewis E. O’Neal of Ocracoke.

A service of remembrance will be in Ocracoke United Methodist Church, Friday July 13, 2012, at 1:00 pm by Rev. Laura Stern.
