for the 2nd Nine Weeks grading period. Students were recognized for achieving all A's or all A's and B's. Proving how academically exceptional Ocracoke students can be, the entire 6th grade was recognized for ALL being on the Honor Roll. 

Over half the student body in grade 3 – 12 achieved the Honor Roll. 

Awards were also given for students on this grading period's Principal's List. According to the man himself, Principal Walt Padgett, the Principal's List is a special recognition for students who've shown improvement since the last grading period. The criteria are that the student must have maintained grades at least as high as they earned the 1st Nine Weeks, and also must have gone up a letter grade in at least one subject. 

"We're very fortunate at Ocracoke School," Padgett said. "We've got great teachers, great staff, hardworking students and lots of community support."

These students earned all A's on their report cards.
