I am talking about "light rolls" or the correct name yeast rolls. I don't know how they became to be known as "light rolls" (cause they sure ain't light on the hips) but that is what I have known them as all my life.
I can see my granny now at the kitchen table with her bowl of dough pinching them out and putting them in the pan to cook. After she put them in the pan to cook she always would rub butter across the top and bake them. Then of course after they were baked and bought out of the oven she would rub more butter across the top. They were the BEST out of the oven but good anytime.
Hope you give them a try and they bring you fond memories as you celebrate Thanksgiving.
The recipe I am sharing with you if from Ms. Lucille Garrish. Ms. Lucille was Danny Garrish's mama and Danny ran the Community Store for years.
