As you can see from our numbers below, cases are on the rise. Though all age groups are affected, the majority of cases are white individuals within the age group of 25-49. This simply means there are likely more white individuals being tested than black individuals as the virus does not discriminate between races, genders, socioeconomics, etc.
Please remember, the Health Department tests anyone who suspects they are sick with COVID-19 or has been in contact with someone who has the virus. We also test folks who request testing even without symptoms. There are no out of pocket fees to individuals, but we do ask if you have insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, you bring your card with you for testing. We also ask that you call for an appointment as we do not see walk in clients.
