Monday, February 18th:

5:30pm: Ocracoke Waterways Commission meeting @ Community Center. 

Tuesday, February 19th: 

4pm: Go Dolphins! Home Varsity basketball game -- conference finals!! 

6:30pm: Open Jam @ Coyote Music Den, 6:30-8:30pm – sing, play, listen – all ages, all levels welcome (youth are encouraged to come at 6:30). Every Tuesday night through March. No charge, but donations welcome.

Wednesday, February 20th:  

7pm: Word Play @ Coyote Music Den, 7-8:30pm. If you love words … bring something you wrote, read, heard and share, listen or tell a story. Every Wednesday night through March. No charge, but donations welcome.

Thursday, February 21st:

7pm: Performance of "The School Spirit" @ Ocracoke School gym. Produced by Ocracoke School Drama Club. All are welcome to this 45-minute one-act play directed by Ocracoke School senior Caroline Novak, starring Ocracoke students (plus one graduate and one teacher). FREE; donations welcome and will benefit Ocracoke School and Ocracoke Alive.

Saturday, February 23rd:

11am: Family Preschool Storytime @ Ocracoke Library! Ms. Claire will lead the storytimes and crafts, which will take place every other Saturday and alternate between English and Spanish. This week is Spanish; all are welcome to this free program.

Current Events February 18–24

11am: Girl Scout Cookie Booth Sale @ Books to Be Red. Troop 2316 from Hatteras Island will be selling cookies. Ocracoke doesn't have any active Girl Scout troops, so come out and support our Hatteras neighbors! Thin Mints! Samoas! Trefoils! Tagalongs! You know you want them!

Sunday, February 24th: 

Services @ both churches: Ocracoke United Methodist (Taize service 7am; Sunday School 10am; service at 11am) and Ocracoke Assembly of God (Sunday School 10am, services at 11am and 6pm; also Wednesday night service at 7pm).

11am: Fried Chicken Fundraiser @ Jason's Restaurant: Proceeds will help the Middle School Boys Basketball team reimburse the school for their trip to the basketball showcase. Two Fried Chicken thighs with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, buttered rolls and sweet or unsweetened tea for $12. And a Bake Sale! Let Jason's make your Sunday dinner!

3pm: Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony @ Bread of Life Food Pantry All are welcome to come out and see what the Ocracoke Lifesaving Church/Assembly of God has created with the help of the community. The Bread of Life Food Pantry serves those in need on Ocracoke.
