Here's whats's going on....

Ahh, sweet October.... the pace is a little slower, but businesses are open and events are happening. 

Monday, October 1st:

10am: Ocracoke Lighthouse open. You can go in, but not up! 10-11am. 

6pm: Hyde County Commissioners Meeting @ Community Center. All are welcome. Click here to view agenda and packets.

Tuesday, October 2nd: 

2pm: Ocracoke Lighthouse open. You can go in, but not up! 1:30-2:30pm

2pm: Hyde County School Board Meeting @ Methodist Church Rec Hall. All are welcome. 

3pm: HOME middle school volleyball game @ Ocracoke School gym. Go Dolphins!

Wednesday, October 3rd: 

10am: NPS Program @ Pony Pens FREE

2pm: Ocracoke History NPS Program @ Visitor Center. FREE

2:30pm: HOME middle school volleyball game @ Ocracoke School gym. Go Dolphins!

Thursday, October 4th:

3pm: HOME middle school volleyball game @ Ocracoke School gym. Go Dolphins! 

Friday, October 5th:

5pm: HOME Varsity Soccer game @ Ocracoke Community Park. The Dolphins will take on the Hatteras Hurricanes. Ocracoke School partnered with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association to take donations at the gate for a Hurricane Relief effort. FREE admission; donations accepted; NCHSAA will match donations. 8pm: Live Music at the Coyote Music Den! The Coyote Den is in the Community Square,  NEW SPECIAL PRICING (door only): Seniors $12, Locals $10, Students $7, $15 adults/$7 kids under 12. Share the magic! More info at www.coyotemusic.net

Saturday, October 6th:

6pm: Wine tasting at Zillie's Island Pantry! Wine tastings pair five great wines with delicious hors d'oeuvres from the pantry. Space is limited, so make a reservation, and sign up at zillies.com.

8pm: Live Music! Dance with the Ocracoke Rockers @ Oyster Co

Sunday, October 7th:

Services @ both churches: Ocracoke United Methodist (Sunday School 10am; service at 11am) and Ocracoke Assembly of God (Sunday School 10am, services at 11am and 6pm; also Wednesday night service at 7pm).
