Obituary for Jim Paul

Mr. James C. Paul, Sr., age 69, a resident of Washington, NC and a former resident of Ocracoke died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his home.

A Remembrance service will be held Saturday November 10, at the Ocracoke Assembly of God at 1:30pm.

Mr. Paul was born in Pamlico County on November 12, 1948 son of the late Wilford C. Paul and the late Helena Parson Paul. He was a graduate of Ocracoke School. On August 1, 1968 he married the former Mary Anna O’Neal who survives. Mr. Paul retired from the NC Department of Transportation as a Ferry Captain after thirty years of service. His hobby was working on computers and he was a member of Ocracoke Assembly of God.

Surviving along with his wife Mary of the home are his children: James C. Paul, Jr. and his wife Susan of Palmer, AK; Tina Lee Snapp and her husband Mark of Wanchese; and John David Paul of Ocracoke; a brother: Terry Lee Paul of Greenville; six grandchildren: Zachery, Samantha, Madeline, Jamie, Donavon, Sophia and Arabella; and one great grandchild: Weston.
