The Ocracoke Friends of the Library Used Book Sale continues through August 14th when the library is open: Monday–Friday 3–7pm (3–8pm on Wednesday) and Saturday 9am–1pm.

We'll add the days and times to this page and the calendar when we find out when the Lighthouse will be open!

9:30am: Storytime @ Ocracoke Library: Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, bring your grown-ups to the library for stories and fun!

1pm: Porch Talk @ OPS Museum Storytelling with Downeast storyteller and Ocrafolk Festibval favorite Rodney Kemp FREE.

8pm: A Tale of Blackbeard @ the Ocracoke School gym. Call (252) 921-0260 to reserve tickets. Act fast! it's a popular sell-out show. Singing, dancing, and swordfighting pirates woo talented village girls on the eve of Blackbeard's final battle at Ocracoke! 10:30am: Sea Turtle Nest Excavation Public nest excavation located just north of Lifeguard Beach. NPS rangers will excavate the hatched nest while another ranger presents a program about Ocracoke's nesting sea turtles. 

1pm: Porch Talk @ OPS Museum Join us for Fiddler Dave Tweedie of Molasses Creek as he entertains us with Pirate songs and stories. Porch Talks are FREE, informal, informative, and fun!

2:30pm: NPS Ocracoke History More info @ NPS Visitor Center

6pm: Live Music! Aaron & Jackie @ Jolly Roger

8pm: Live Music! Coyote Plus One! The Coyote Music Den is in the Community Square, and will host "Coyote Plus One" at 8pm every Tuesday night.
