March is a busy month on Ocracoke...

...lots of spring cleaning and businesses opening for season!

If you're planning a visit during the early spring, check out the Who's Open page so you'll know where you can eat, sleep, shop, and play. Spring opening dates for your favorite places are on there, too!

Monday, March 19th:

3pm: Ferry Division meeting @ Community Center

4:30pm: The Ocracoke Planning and Advisory Board will hold a special meeting @ the Ocracoke Community Center. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Silver Lake Harbor Ordinance. This meeting will be followed by a joint meeting between the Planning Board and Ocracoke Waterways Commission. Click here for agenda.

5:30pm: The Ocracoke Waterways Commission will hold a scheduled meeting @ the Ocracoke Community Center. For a copy of the agenda click here.

Tuesday, March 20th:

Wednesday, March 21st:

7pm: Trivia Night @ Gaffer's! $2 to play; proceeds go to the 4th and 5th grade field trip! Come on out and show off how smart you are. Can you beat the two-week winning streak of the "No-Talent A**-Clowns/Nasty Women"? Yes, you probably can, since only 1/3 of the ladies will be there. Here's your chance! 

Thursday, March 22nd:

2pm: Ocracoke School S.T.E.A.M. Fair The Science Fair is back! Come on out and see what smart kids we've got on Ocracoke. 

Friday, March 23rd:

8pm: First show of the season @ Coyote Music Den! Martin, Marcy, and Lou "Playing Your Ocracoke Memories" in the intimate listening roon of the Coyote Music Den in the Community Square. Every Friday night through November 26th. $15 adults/$7 kids under 12. Doors open at 7:30pm. Bring your own refreshments; soft drinks and water available for purchase. 

Saturday, March 24th:

12pm: Ocracoke March For Our Lives Let's all march in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in DC and all over the United States!! We will meet at The Sunglass Shop/Books to Be Red area at around 11:45/11:50 and march down to the light house and back WITHOUT stepping on NPS territory for pictures. Bring everyone, even dogs, and your posters. Let us all be united and uplifting in our fight, for our country has suffered too much and become too divided. Lets all come together to MARCH FOR OUR LIVES!!

6pm: Live music! Martin & Friends @ Ocracoke Oyster Co. 

Sunday, March 25th:

Services @ both churches: Ocracoke United Methodist (Sunday School 10am; service at 11am) and Ocracoke Assembly of God (Sunday School 10am, services at 11am and 6pm; also Wednesday night service at 7pm).
