Even with limited options for ways to spend your money, Ocracoke is a great getaway. The best part of a winter visit is the great outdoors. The winter beach is amazing. Springer's Point and the NPS Nature trail never disappoint. Less is more around these parts.
2pm: NPS public meeting @ Ocracoke Community Center. National Parks of Eastern North Carolina Superintendent David Hallac invites the public to visit with staff on Ocracoke, where he will review visitation patterns and park activities during 2017 at Cape Hatteras National Seashore

7pm: OVFD meeting @ Fire House. Stop by if you want to join the volunteer fire department!
6pm: Ocracoke School Spring Variety Show @ school gym. $5 entrance fee. Ocracoke kids got talent! Proceeds benefit Ocracoke PTA.
CANCELLED 2pm: Job Fair @ Community Center. Local employers will offer island job opportunities.
Services @ both churches: Ocracoke United Methodist (Sunday School 10am; service at 11am) and Ocracoke Assembly of God (Sunday School 10am, services at 11am and 6pm; also Wednesday night service at 7pm).
