It's spring break for Ocracoke School this week, and the lovely and busy Easter weekend has come and gone. Alsmost every business is open for the season, and we are ready for visitors! Come for a daytrip and take advantage of the spring ferry schedule! Or stay on the island and enjoy relative quiet and early-season rates.
I don't know of any events early in the week.... no meetings, no fundraisers, no performances. Amazing. So, let's relax and start the week on:
7pm: Live music! Raygun Ruby, your favorite retro-80's band, plays 7-10pm at Dajio!
8pm: Music at the Coyote Den! The Coyote Den is in the Community Square, and will host Martin Garrish and Friends "Playing Your Ocracoke Memories" every Friday night through November. Beloved island native Martin Garrish shares songs – "sign posts of life" – and enchanting stories about growing up on Ocracoke. $15 for adults/$7 for kids under 12. More info at www.coyotemusic.net
6pm: Live music! Martin & Friends at Ocracoke Oyster Company, 6:30–9:30pm.
Both churches have regular services at 11am; the Assembly of God also has a 7pm service.
6th Annual Ocracoke 10k/5k, 1 Mile Family Fun Run & 2nd Annual Half Marathon will be April 29th & 30th. Register here.
