4pm: Go Dolphins! Home Middle School volleyball game, Ocracoke vs. the Columbia Wildcats, at 4pm in the Ocracoke School gym. Fear the Pod!
4pm: Go Dolphins! Your loyalties will be tested with two concurrent home games, both starting at 4pm: Varsity volleyball, Dolphins vs. Perquimans (double-header!), and Varsity Soccer, also Dolphins vs. Perquimans. (If you're bringing a bus all the way from Perquimans County, you wanna get a lot of bang for your buck.) Will you watch soccer or volleyball? Half of each? Volleyball is played in the Ocracoke School gym; the soccer field is at Ocracoke Community Park.
7am: Ferry into Fall! Both the Cedar Island-Ocracoke and Swan Quarter-Ocracoke routes will begin their off-season schedules on Sept. 27. Both routes will run three round trips daily. Check it out the schedule here.
8pm: Music at the Coyote Den! The Coyote Den is in the Community Square, and will host "Coyote Plus One" at 8pm every Tuesday night. More info at www.coyotemusic.net

8pm: Music at the Coyote Den! The Coyote Den is in the Community Square, and will host Martin Garrish and Friends "Playing Your Ocracoke Memories" every Friday night from March 25th – November 18th. More info at www.coyotemusic.net
3pm: Educational Program aboard the Skipjack Wilma Lee! "BUOY Bingo - Nautical Charts and Navigation" During this program, students will learn the fundamentals in reading nautical charts, using longitude and latitude hydrographic maps to determining location in degrees, minutes and seconds, reading compasses and learning about nautical symbols. Students will make their own compasses and investigate the variations in magnetic north as well as play a game that will allow them to locate different maritime and historical features in and around Ocracoke Inlet.
7:30pm: The Coyote Den is adding a new Saturday night event for the fall: Raygun Ruby Unplugged! That's right -- it's everybody's favorite rockin' 80's cover band in a small, intimate listening room at the Coyote Den in the Community Square. More info at www.coyotemusic.net
2pm: The Annual Blessing of the Pets at Ocracoke United Methodist Church will be at 2m. Bring your four-footed and feathered and scaly friends to get a blessing from Pastor Richard Bryant. All species are welcome!
