To celebrate National Parks week, the Ocracoke Visitor Center will hold a Special NPS Program at 11am. All are welcome!

Coloring Night at Books to Be Red! Come out to color your stress away! 6:30–8:30pm. Books to Be Red provides coloring pages, crayons and markers, and refreshments, and it's FREE! Not sure what Coloring Night is? Read this story and find out!

Friday, April 22nd:

Hey! The DMV mobile unit will be on Ocracoke! Stop by the Community Center if you need a driver's license or other DMV services.

Pig Pickin' at 3pm at the Masonic Lodge (on Back Road next to the Health Center). Pulled pork, cole slaw, stewed potatoes, bun, and bottled water -- all for just $12. Get in line for the feeding frenzy!

Back Porch Restaurant opens for the season, serving dinner and small plates, inside and on the porch. 

Ocracoke School Prom -- we'll post pictures! 

Music at the Coyote Den! The Coyote Den is in the Community Square, and will host Martin Garrish and Friends "Playing Your Ocracoke Memories" every Friday night from March 25th – November 18th. More info at www.coyotemusic.net

Saturday, April 23rd:

Race Day! The annual Ocracoke 5K/10K race begins at 8am in front of Gaffer's Sports Pub. Awards ceremony is scheduled for 9:30am.

All are welcome to join in the 1-Mile Family Fun Run at 10am, sponsored by Ocracoke Coffee Company. 

The Post-Run Party begins at 11am at Gaffer's. Non-runners can join the eating and drinking for just $20 ($10 for under-18's)!

Play Ball! Ocracoke's own Little Leaguers, the Blue Claws and the Raptors, have home games beginning at 1pm at Ocracoke Community Park (the Field of Dreams!) 

Martin & Friends will play at the Ocracoke Oyster Company, 6:30–9:30pm. Live music and great food!

Sunday, April 24th:

Ocracoke's first Half-Marathon begins at 8am! Awards presented at Noon, with the Post-Run Party starting at Noon. Non-runners can join the eating and drinking for just $20 ($10 for under-18's)!

Ocracoke Community Park is the place to be on Sunday afternoons. Come on out to join in Pick-Up Softball at 5pm. Fun and games!
