Monday, April 11th:

Ocracoke School Awards Assembly for the 3rd nine weeks. All are welcome! 8:15am in the School gym.

Tuesday, April 12th:

Open Mic at Coyote Music Den, 7–9pm at Marcy and Lou's place in the Community Square. All are welcome to play, sing, or listen.

Hey, it's that time of year again when the non-profits come begging for money! The Occupancy Tax board will hear their petitions tonight at 7:30pm at the Ocracoke Community Center. Decisions, decisions....

Wednesday, April 13th:

Play Ball! Home baseball game today, Middle School Dolphins vs. Creswell, 4pm at the Ocracoke Community Park. GO Dolphins!

Ocracoke Civic and Business Association meets at 7pm at the Ocracoke Community Center. Minutes from March are here. We'll post the agenda on that same page as soon as it's sent out.

Current Events Week of April 11th

Thursday, April 14th:

The Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department will hold their every-other-Thursday meeting at the Fire Hall at 7pm. They can always use new members! You can also stop by and get a way-cool OVFD t-shirt or order your reflective house number signs (so OVFD and Ocracoke EMS can find you!)

Ocracoke School Plant Sale Update: It looks like the delivery for the plants will be on Thursday April 14! Once we know exactly when they'll start selling them, we'll post it right away!

Friday, April 15th:

Cops vs. Coaches!! Come out to see the Cops vs. Coaches Softball Fundraiser at 5pm. (Concessions begin at 4pm.) Ocracoke school coaching staff will play against the NPS and sheriff's deputies! Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for kids; proceeds benefit Ocracoke School's Field Day coming up at the end of the school year. 

Music at the Coyote Den! The Coyote Den is in the Community Square, and will host Martin Garrish and Friends "Playing Your Ocracoke Memories" every Friday night from March 25th – November 18th. More info at www.coyotemusic.net

Saturday, April 16th:

You're invited to a special birthday party! The late Irvin Garrish would have been 100 years old today, and the island is honoring his memory with a special fundraiser for Ocracoke Preservation Society. Stop by Irvin and Elsie's old homeplace at 43 Howard Street, from 2–4pm. There'll be cake and refreshments, and even a silent auction! Come join  homeowners Kathy and Bob Phillips and OPS for some Fun & Fundraising!! Celebrate Irvin's memory and help preserve this special island! Donations happily accepted, and all proceeds will go to OPS.

Martin & Friends will play at the Ocracoke Oyster Company, 6:30–9:30pm. Live music and great food!
