Hard copies of the Voter Registration form can be obtained from the Elections Office (in Swan Quarter) during business hours or at Ocracoke library. You can also register to vote while at the DMV. To request an application by mail you can call the Hyde County Elections Office at (252) 926-4194, send a fax to (252) 926-3707, or email a request to Viola Williams.
Voting on Ocracoke takes place at the Fire Hall.

Incumbent John Fletcher and Tom Pahl, both Democrats, filed to be Ocracoke County Commissioner. Unaffiliated, or independent, voters can decide whether they prefer to help decide the local election or would rather vote in the Republican primary.
