The monthly public meetings are part of an ongoing effort to increase communication and collaboration between Hyde County, the Ocracoke community, and the North Carolina Ferry Division.

The October meeting may cover several topics, however discussion will largely focus on the potential tolling of the Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry route. Hyde County continues to oppose any tolls on the Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry.

The meeting will be held Monday, October 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ocracoke Community Center, 999 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke, N.C. 27960. The public is invited to attend.
