At 6pm, the library will host the first Young Adult Summer Reading meeting for rising middle & high school ages. Do a craft and check out some books! Summer reading makes you smarter and more attractive to your peers.
Coyote Plus One howls again! Their special guest this week is Dave Pollard, a longtime friend of Marcy and Lou's. Wednesday, July 1st:Book signing! Stephen Kirk will be signing copies of his new book Voices From The Outer Banks @ Books to Be Red, 3:30 –5pm. John F. Blair, Publisher, continues its Real Voices, Real History™ series with Voices from the Outer Banks. This volume presents the actual words of the people who lived the uncommonly rich history of this chain of barrier islands stretching from the Virginia border southward through Cape Lookout.
Expose yourself to art! All are welcome to Down Creek Gallery, 5 – 8pm, for an Art Opening to see artist Row Selman's newest work. Selman’s plein air paintings consist of the title works “Trees in All Seasons,” which reflects her love of one of her favorite painting subjects. Come out to see art, eat, drink, and be merry. Musical guest will be Aaron LaVigne.
The Ocrafolk Opry is back for its 15th season at Deepwater Theater. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for youngens. Show starts at 8pm; doors open at 7:30pm. Thursday, July 2nd:
